Specific column's Background Color property cannot reset back to transparent

In the Matrix visual, when formatting the visual (Specific column>Background Color) I can change the color of the specific column to a color of my choosing . However the banding disappears (i.e. the color chosen in (Values>Alternate Background Color) does not show). I cannot get the banding back again without removing the column and adding it again. 

I guess the solution would be to have a transparent option under (Specific column>Background Color)

Furthermore it would be nice to have (in addition to the above) the option for (Specific column>Alternate Background Color)

If you would like to suggest  feature improvements, you may  vote the idea and comment here  to improve this feature. It is a place for customers provide feedback about Microsoft Office products .
