Power BI Report Server September 2024 - Issue with DAX function SummarizeColumns

We have report objects that call the SummarizeColumns function, inside an AVERAGEX function, that are not rendering when executed from the Report Server that we just upgraded to September 2024. The function works correctly when loading the same report, from the RS, using Power BI Desktop Report Server September 2024, as well as Power BI Desktop. Attached screenshot shows the error from the PBIRS, as well as a screenshot showing the graph loading properly in PBI Desktop RS. I posted this to the Report Server forum but it was suggested that I post here under issues. Thankssummarizecolumns.png

Hi @brandonmcg ,

I see the version information you provided and it appears that you are not using Power BI Report server but SSRS.This feature works fine in Power BI Report Server.
The latest version of Power BI Report server is as follows:

Download Microsoft Power BI Report Server- September 2024 from Official Microsoft Download Center

Can you reconfirm if this issue is happening in PBI RS, if it is SSRS you need to go to its dedicated forum for support.

Best regards.

NOTE: I have noticed that the DAX extension libs included with Power BI Desktop Report Server September 2024 are a newer version than what is included with Power BI Report Server September 2024.

Hi @v-xiaoyan-msft

Thank you for responding. We are importing the data from a MSSQL data source. We have not tried to reproduce the error using another data source type as the MSSQL data import is the only method we need for our reports.
