Power BI Desktop freezes when saving

Hello,

Starting today, Power BI Desktop freezes every time I try to save. 

This happend to me and at least one other colleague.

The freezing does not prevent the saving itself so far, but I need to restart Power BI Desktop after each time I save my Report.

 

Has anyone had a similar issue so far or any suggestion to resolve it?

@Anonymous I tried this workaround but to no avail. Should I mention I'm not using Query Editor in the first place? Not sure why I should have to close it if I've not even opened it to begin with. But anyways - I did try this sequence and it freezes at Working on it, unconditionally. Super frustrating

same prob. uninstalled/reinstaled pbi but nothing works. wil try & see if it works if rolled back to jan25 ver. 😤😡😠

what is happening in regards to this, its impacting so many users and there is no comms from Microsoft?

@Anonymous its frustrating radio silence from Microsoft on this issue. Others in the thread are saying to try a specific workaround - but I've had no success with it. Not sure what recourse we even have here? Like - what next steps can we even take if Microsoft chooses to continue ignoring this?

I am having exactly the same problem, happening since install of the latest version: 2.140.1577.0 64-bit (February 2025)

@Anonymous please can you give us an update on this? what is going on from Microsoft's side?

@pjs2004 Thank you for the link to January 2025 version -- I could not locate this ANYWHERE. I'll try rolling back to this version and see if it helps.

Hi all, Nothing heard from Microsoft so far on this Issue. Im kind of impressed how widespread this issue is. On our side it can be observed company wide (unless rolled back to January). I would let you all know, if I hear anything new outside this post.
