Power BI Dataflow refresh fail

Hi,

 

Since this morning GMT time our dataflows don't get refreshed anymore.

No scheduled or manual refresh possible.

on my side, after windows update, the gateway was not able to communicate with the gateway cluster. And from PowerBI Interface, cannot communicate with the gateway. I remove all windows update previously installed and the gateway server, the gateway cluster and powerBI can communicate together. But.. like Goofr, i need to recreate all dataflows (copy paste form the broken one) and update all my reports. 

 

there something wrong with the latest windows update

@karthee  yeah I suppose this has to do with it as well

If everyone is experiencing this problem at the same time, it's a no-brainer that something went wrong with those updates indeed. I will escalate this with Microsoft

Having the same issue. Data flow refresh worked through the 18th and has failed since then. Updated gateway and tested script in desktop. Desktop works fine - gateway is fine. I did a test with shortening the script as suggested earlier in the post and was able to see the data - but then had a complex column error (all columns are text formet w/out errors). So something still seems messed up. 

 

If you hear anything about a resolution please let me know.

Hi all,

 

I have managed to fix it for now by correcting the syntax. It worked, and most def. something went wrong after the update. 

 

Please find corrected syntax here which worked for me:

old = 

let

    Source = Odbc.DataSource("dns info"),

    AAA_Database = Source{[Name="xxx",Kind="xxx"]}[Data],

 

////

new = 

let

  Source = Odbc.DataSource("dns info")[Data],

  Navigatie = Source{0},

Also I've altered the gateway connection with this info in the syntax [HierarchicalNavigation=true]
