Pin Visuals to Personal Workspace

As our company are in the process of migrating visualisations to Power BI from another application, we are exploring what is possible in Power BI. One of the features that could have some real impact is the ability to pin visuals they like to a new dashboard which is extremely handy for a manager wanting to check their teams operational KPIs (especially as it also appears that you cannot subscribe to a bookmarked view at the moment)

However, it appears that there is a limitation around only being able to pin to a dashboard in the same workspace and not to their own personal one. This creates a couple of problems, first, as a global company we will have some visuals that are not in the same workspaces so a user may have to create multiple dashboards across different workspaces to bring in part of information. Also, it could lead to a lot of dashboards being created that we would then need to manage when they leave or no longer want to use.

I would therefore like to propose an option for users to import a visual into a dashboard in their personal workspace. This allows users to manage all of the visuals from one workspace as well as helping keep the main workspaces clean and managable

I don't quite understand what you said about pinning visuals to a personal workspace . Are your personal workspaces based on different accounts ? Are the visuals you need to fix already in your Service report? Then pin these visuals to the workspace of a different account ?

So looking at the Power BI web page, you have a section called My workspace where a user can create their own dashboards that are visible just to them: 

What I would like is an option to choose when you want to pin a visual from another workspace to create or add to an existing dashboard, you have an option to place this in your own workspace.

In terms of company workspaces, there will be multiple workspaces to cater for local and european reporting as well as different departments (e.g. operational, finance, HR, etc.)

Currently, Power BI Service does not support selecting workspace when pin visuals . You can put your ideas to Ideas Forum . If a feedback is high voted there by other customers, it will be promising that Microsoft Product Team will take it into consideration when designing the next version in the future.
