Odd behavior for email subscriptions for emails with different domains then account login

My Power BI login username is first.last@company.onmicrosoft.com. I want to send email subscriptions to first.last@company.com. After a long talk with support, I have found out that this is not possible.

The "Issue" is that even though it is not possible to subscribe first.last@company.com, I can still add it where it says "Enter email address" and when I click "Run Now" first.last@company.com receive a subscription email.
