No access to underlying DataSet via Workspace-App connecting using gateway accessing MDX AS

We are utilizing the powerbi gateway to connect report datasets to our on-premises analysis servers and workspace apps to share access to those reports. The usernames are mapped (effective username) in the gateway from external users to users existing in our active directory.

This system works without issue with tabular analysis instances, however trying to connect to a multidimensional analysis instance fails with the message "No access to underlying dataset". The issue does not occur when granting access to the reports directly, only using the workspace app.

Try to disable these options and update the app then try it again.
