New Parameter Rounding Issues

I am utilising a New Parameter to allow users to insert a percentage (rounded by 5% increments) which feed a number of other calculations. For some strange reason, the percentage increments of 40%, 45%, 50% and 55% are rounding down by 0.00000001% e.g. 45% turns into 44.9999999999% . This has a material impact on the output. The rounding issue is not occuring with other percentage bands e.g. 60% .

Has anyone come across this issue and a solution?

Hi @davidmichael ,

Could not reproduce it as far as my test. I have created a parameter starts at 0 and ends at 1 by 5% increment but all of the increment percentages show the correct value. The data type is decimal number and fixed decimal number based on the test.

Maybe you can share how did you create this parameter so that we could reproduce it better.

Hi @Yingjie Li Thanks for your help. I created the parameter using the formula below: "Parameter = GENERATESERIES(0, 1.00, .05) Like I said, it is only 40 and 55% that it rounds down. Seems very strange. Regards David
