Map Visualization Bug

I regularly have problems getting the Map visualization to properly display locations. Here are some current examples:

County, State, Country data where the map incorrectly displays the location as the Phillippines:

State, Country data where the map incorrectly displays the location as Colombia:

This is actually not a bug but rather the choice the geocoder makes can depend heavily on how your data is defined. Check the region definition for the same text in the particular field. I see in your sample is "Puerto Rico" but that can be in many places in the world as it is Spanish for "Rich Door". Try the following sample site https://samples.azuremaps.com/services-module/search-for-boundaries

  1. Type Puerto Rico and hit Search
  2. You will see multiple choices and this is why you are getting odd results

Try splitting your data by Country & region/locality to get less ambiguity. Note that Puerto Rico USA is incorrect. You will see that it is a Country that is a territory of the USA and not a State so if you changed your data to just have "Puerto Rico" rather than "Puerto Rico, United States" you would probably get a better match.
