Keep Getting DataFormat.Error

Hi all,

I keep on getting this [DataFormat.Error] We couldn't convert to Date. every time I refresh my data on Query Editor.

It appears even when selecting Text Columns (I had previously appleid only conversion to text format for that column).

I think this is a bug.

Please see attached images.

Many thanks for oyur time.

Hi @rsdondo ,

The Power Query Editor considers your system’s default date format. If the data is not in that format, it might cause a problem in changing the data type. You can adjust the locale for individual columns using the data type menu.
You may go to the Power Query Editor and select the column with the date error. Split the column by a slash delimiter and rename the parts as day, month, or year. Rearrange the columns according to your country’s date format. Merge the columns with a slash separator and change the data type to date.

Best regards.
