Issues with Schedule Refresh

Some of my datasets acting up today. 

 

I have a schedule refreshes on my datasets, when the report is refreshing, it automatically started the new refresh and killed the old one with the error "The scheduled refresh is cancelled because a new refresh is detected on the same database" img 2.pngimg 1.png

 

 

Is there an issue with the service?

We are seeing this happen more and more over the past couple of months. Random reports across multiple databases/workspaces. Our reports refresh daily so waiting for the next refresh is not an option as the data has to be up to date for that day. Is there something which has caused this to re-surface as we rarely, if ever, saw it pre-October ish? Thanks, Paul

I am seeing this for 2 small datasets. Manual refresh completes in seconds, scheduled refresh runs 6 - 10 minutes and works one day, and fails the next day. There is no one else running a manual refresh at the time, nor is the interval too frequent (1x day). Time for someone at Microsoft to fix a 7 year old issue.

Bumping this thread, because this is occurring on our daily refreshes. We have it configured to refresh via OneLake and scheduled refresh, because OneLake sometimes fails. We need this data to be refreshed consistently and manually updating each semantic model is a daily waste of time. When will this be fixed or what is the workaround?

Currently I moved my refreshes to scheduled refresh pipelines in Fabric: so far (some months) the issue didn't strike anymore- you coud give it a try. You just need to go to your semnatic model and choose "create advanced refresh" from the refresh menu. You need a Fabric capacity with fabric features enabled, though.
