Issue with Card Visual Layout After November Power BI Desktop Update

Hello,

The November update of Power BI Desktop messed up the metrics and visuals in my new card visual. It happened with the image in the callout, and the reference labels had their layout changed, no longer keeping the spacing I wanted. This is really frustrating because the users who view the report daily (including the bosses) are not getting the metrics they need.

Could you please provide a fix or workaround for this problem?

Thank you for your support.
Just a sample image for your reference.

It seems like Microsoft will no longer keep the old visual cards, they closed the ticket and users will need a lot of time to fix each one. I think at the very least they should keep one version for the old visual cards and another for GA. Truly disappointed.

We took the pain and worked whole day yesterday with two FTE's to fix this in our reports. I am not happy how this was delivered.

@mattlee I can see why you would change this to delivered but I think the major problem here (and please correct me if I am wrong about this) is that the New Card was never marked as a Preview feature as such. It just appeared with a lightening bolt on it and people started using it. I don't believe that users made a conscious decision to turn it on in Options. The lightening bolt had no explanation and there was no other indication that the visual was not GA. Am I right or wrong? If the latter, I apologise. If the former, I think Microsoft should do the same and try to make amends. Thank you Ian

Are they really not fixing this? Our organization does not have the November desktop version yet so we can't implement the solution needed. This is an absolutely massive issue for us

It would seem not @catsamson but we have no definitive response either way.

I found a way around it by adjusting theme json and it worked ^_^

    "cardVisual": {
      "*": {
        "layout": [
          {
            "horizontalAlignment": "center",
            "verticalAlignment": "middle",
            "calloutSize": 65
          },
          {
            "$id": "default",
            "backgroundShow": false
          }
        ]
      }}
