Issue with Card Visual Layout After November Power BI Desktop Update

Hello,

The November update of Power BI Desktop messed up the metrics and visuals in my new card visual. It happened with the image in the callout, and the reference labels had their layout changed, no longer keeping the spacing I wanted. This is really frustrating because the users who view the report daily (including the bosses) are not getting the metrics they need.

Could you please provide a fix or workaround for this problem?

Thank you for your support.
Just a sample image for your reference.

I had 100+ cards to update, had to switch off the background for the reference layout as it had made everything black, remove any legacy padding and then on the card layout increase the callout size to 50% to get the callout to come back into view. Huge rework and redeployment headache but this is where the 'its in preview' get out of jail will be played I am sure. Expect there are quite a few annoyed developers and power bi admins out there today. Not sure its a bug - tbh the previous version of the new cards were a bit fiddly and this is now the answer. Unfortunately this just means rework and then we have to move on. Making me wonder how the big enterprise companies will be dealing with it with large power bi estates

Also noticed that if I were to reset to default on the cards it removes any reference measures I had previously linked - watch out for this one

@DataZoe @mattlee As per my earlier post last Tuesday nov 18th on this same thread (https://community.fabric.microsoft.com/t5/Issues/Issue-with-Card-Visual-Layout-After-November-Power-...), I already addressed that the output of the tips and settings on Jacinda Eng's do not align with what is mentioned in the blog. I even downloaded the October version back today and tried to "prepare" for the GA with the "Divider" setting + turnoff background as mentioned in the blog, but the reference label's background is still in front of the callout value (see here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1OPNvwmTiqUR9a3a-C4D5GH0qdFARLOzF/view?usp=drive_link) Something for the productteam: This still seems to be a bug in the Reference label's background in combination with the divider settings, even when following Jacindas blogpost tips. Even when turning the background off and/or setting its transparency to 100%, it goes in front of the callout value, see screenshot: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1OPNvwmTiqUR9a3a-C4D5GH0qdFARLOzF/view?usp=drive_link Whereas the expected outcome is like this: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1rsQl4HxJnJh8QHoxflr_QNiqgkRyBvnV/view?usp=drive_link On the FAQ @DataZoe shares there is a different, but slightly more effective instruction (Callout Layout %), however it does not get it back to its previous (and desired) state. We cannot get the reference label value closer to the callout value. There is a kind of padding/spacing in between that was not there before and the background is still there too. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1-1Z6JYssvmUhp9N7c81L2ot0CHz-06mg/view?usp=drive_link

the fact they cant even fix the footer on this page to update to the correct year its hardly surprising, had a similar issue last year with the card visual after an update, all the ref labels disappeared in the service after an update. Took a while for it to be rectified from what I remember. I'm not/cant update 100's of visuals. Would be great to some delivery time/date

Same issue here. What is the plan to address this? Do we just need to go in and update everything, or is Microsoft going to fix it?

@Rfingerhut - Cant see this being fixed quickly - I just had to accept it and manually fix as would have been unacceptable to our user base to leave as it. Credibility would have been seriously damaged also. Massive pain but no option really. I imagine there will be some places where this has been a disaster

@mattlee  @DataZoe  Is this going to be rolled back? The guidance in this post did not help; either the card visual is bugged or the instructions to update the cards are incorrect. https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/prepare-for-new-card-visual/

I hope it is rolled back, it hasn't addressed my issues with the multi card layout.

Microsoft - Please roll this back - to Preview if necessary. This bug has created havoc for all of my client-facing analytics products. At this point, there doesn't even seem to be a viable workaround for all the Card(New) visual formatting to be wiped out and really not responding to the settings I've tried.
