Issue: The visual has unrecognized fields.

Since yesterday, we experience a caching problem with some of our customers.

The first opened report works without any issues while the next reports give the underneath error.

 

The data set is created in SSAS cubes and we use the on premise data gateway to connect.

 

Anyone else experiencing this? Did Microsoft do an update?

We are currently experiencing the same issue in a similar setup and are seeing this on multiple tenants. I've noticed that for some reports we can sort of get around the issue by refreshing the directquery SSAS dataset. 

 

Seems to me like this is a Power BI Service caching issue. 2 years ago the exact same issue was reported by Koen Verbeeck which was then solved (http://www.sqlservercentral.com/blogs/koen-verbeeck/2016/04/22/power-bi-service-error-this-visual-ha...). Did an old bug resurface?

Same problem here.

 

But now, since 18:59 CET, its working again...Someone is doing something...

Hi all, 

 

I tested on my side but not able to reproduce the issue. I would suggest you update on-premises data gateway to the latest version 3000.1.257 then test again.

Did not rename any fields. Everything looks ok in Power BI desktop. Updated and published report again, still same error in service. Issue started wednesday morning.

Still a problem indeed.

I had to filter!

 

@v-qiuyu-msft, this issue doesn't happen on all tenants!

So you can't test it thoroughly on a random one.

Enough people here you can contact for reproduction of the issue.

The error come and go all the time. For me it seems like a connection to a cache-server is unstable. We have live SASS, with on-prem. Newest version of gateway. We have several cubes and several reports, and just now, everything is like this: Unkown error with the visuals. Cant find the following fields. After ca 5 minutes, and refresh, they back, looking ok, but then another report produce the same error. After ca 5 minutes, this goes blank, and the previous report is ok. Our cube is multidimentional.

 

We are 10.000 co workers, and it an issue for all of them. Same error on iPads and mobilapps aswell.

 

Need Help!

We have the same issue too. our source is SSAMD with the gateway connection.

 

Please fix this issue ASAP!

We're still having the same issues as well.

Connected to SSAS Multidimensional through an On premises data gateway. Installing the latest gateway did not resolve the issue.
