Impossible to show the visual element

Hi everyone !

One of my friend has an issue when he opens a .pbix created by me.

Here is what he saw (sorry it's in french) :

It says "Impossible to show the visual element" and when he clicks on "See details", it says "Impossible to load datas for this visual element" and in "Details of the copy" nothing happened. Sorry for the translation ...

We have the exact same computer and we tried to install / reinstall PowerBI but nothing works. Moreover, this error appears when he want to create a new visualisation in a new dashboard so I don't think that the real issue comes from my .pbix file.

Can you help me to understand this issue please ?

Do you use custom visuals in pbi? Do you both have this custom visual imported?

Do you both have access to your data source?

Yes , in my dashboard I used custom visuals. I will ask to my friend to install it.

=> But I don't think that this is the source of the issue here, because he has this error when he wants to create a new dashboard with a simple chart as a bar chart.

Yes, we have both access to the data source and we both saw the data in PowerBI.

Do you mean that both of you and your friend can see the data in Query Editor. But your friend cannot see the visuals you created?

How about the result if your friend get data from the same data source and create same visual with his own Power BI Desktop in his own machine (do not use the pbix file created by you)?

If possible, could you please provide the pbix file to me? You can upload it to online file service (e.g. OneDrive) and share it. Make sure you’ve removed the sensitive data before sharing.

Yes, it's exactly the situation : we can see the data in the query editor but my friend can't see the visuals. He saw that there is a visual but there is an error message (see my first post).

He tried to create a new dashboard (ok), to import the same data source as me (ok), to create same visual (ok) but there is the same error message.

I can share only this page. I deleted all the datas so there is a error message. I'm not sure that you can do something.

Have you tried to share your pbix file with another friend of you? Is this friend you mentioned above the only one cannot see the visuals?

I shared my pbix file with two another friends and one has the same issue and for the other it works perfectly.

We asked to Microsoft to understand what is the issue.
