Impala connection issues

Hi, not sure whether the correct label has been selected for this post.

Receiving the following error when refreshing data from an Impala database (import not DirectQuery). The following error message is shown:

'ODBC: ERROR[08S01] [Microsoft][ImpalaODBC](100) Error from the Impala Thrift API: SASL(-1): generic failure. Failed to initialize security context: The specified target is unknown or unreachable'

Database connection was fine up until a few hours ago.

Please make sure the Impala server is reachable, and update desktop to the latest version, then test again.

The Impala server has always been reachable, and the Impala connector was able to do so up until yesterday. Also I am already using the latest version of desktop so I don't think that is the issue.

Hi @yasbui @Anonymous , 

Please update the Power BI desktop to the latest March Power BI desktop version 2.67.5404.801 then test again. 

If the issue still occurs, please create a support ticket to let engineers look into the issue on your side.
