Export to PDF not displaying map data

For the past few days, whenever I export a report to a PDF, the map visualization fails to display any data despite there being data in the Service. I don't have the option to change to a different style of map visualization. Is there a bug with the software? See the images showing before and after exporting to PDF. It seems to only affect the Service (not Desktop) where I do most of my exporting. Any help with restoring the data in the PDF from the Service is greatly appreciated.

Ever had a problem like this before? Is it the same result if you create a map on Service and export it to PDF?

@v-yetao1-msft Yes, when I create a map on Service and export it to PDF, it appears empty. This is true of any web browser I use.

Same for us! My report consumers prefer to export to .pdf, but when they do this the visual has no data:

We have seen on the internal platform that other engineers have reported this issue and submitted it. 

The engineers on the product team are now aware and will do their best to resolve the issue. I will update here if there is any progress, so please be patient!

I've tested and issue remains. Not sure if there's something else required but I have:

 

Updated PBI Desktop 

Restarted machine completely

Re-Published report to service

 

Still getting a blank map on export to PowerPoint and PDF

@we4get, @v-yetao1-msft the issue persists for us, too.

  • When we export to .pdf the map visual bubbles are gone.
  • The bubbles are also gone when we export to PowerPoint.
  • We can see them in the service.
  • The Map visual appears to be the only visual where this is happening.
  • What's special about the Map visual?
  • Exporting the map visual all by itself to PowerPoint, I can see the bubbles represented by the underlying data. This is not acceptable! 
  • When I exported the map visual all by itself to PowerPoint the first time, I got a long, very detailed warning about embedded data I had to click through before seeing it. So, could it be a security issue related to sharing the underlying data in the Map visual?
