Enlighten Story causing Report timeout.

We had a number of embedded reports suddenly fail to load on our PowerBi embedded customer-facing reports, PowerBi Service and desktop. The problem seemed to lie with reports that contained fairly complex measures used in enlightened story visuals. We had to jump to a tab that did not contain these visuals and remove the visual from the visual list. We could then reintroduce the visual and configure as was in the beginning and save the report. We then published and all worked fine again for the moment. What happened here. It caused a loss of credibility for our sales guys when demonstrated due to the unanticipated nature of this outage.

You can try to use Performance analyzer in Power BI Desktop to analyze its performance for the visual itself, DAX loading etc. if you think it related to this specific visual.

Hi, I am having same issue with one of my report where the enlighten story visual is making the whole powerbi report froze. all the tabs working fine where that visual is not there but as soon as i click on the tab where that visual is present it just freezes my report. Please help to resolve this issue. Tried using performance analyzer but it is sometime gets too late and can't do anything after report is frozen.
