Sparkline Chart Type Columns

There's instance where the user can select only one month of data. the sparkline i use uses just the month and when there is only one date period (just one month) for the trendline the visual breaks and nothing shows. This doesn't happen when the line is used, but when I select column for the sparkline chart type it breaks out. Can this be fixed?

Is the Sparkline Chart you're talking about the visual in the screenshot? Could you describe your problem in more detail with screenshots or provide a pbix file?

No it's not a custom visual. There's a new sparkline feature that you can add to tables. Below is a screenshot of what's happening
