Direct Query Mode Missing

Since the August 2025 update it appears Direct Query connections cannot be selected when connecting to Dataflow Gen 1 sources.

Any reports that were previously setup using Direct Query return the following error:

"This query contains transformations that can't be used for DirectQuery."

Good afternoon. Since the August update, the GoogleSheets data source is no longer available to me, and as a result, several dashboards could not be updated. I've checked, and the GoogleSheets file is available within the CertifiedExtensions folder.

Hello, is it possible that the issue returned with the new October update? I am having some reports that are having this issue. Last week everything was working but this week the direct query doesn't work even when bringing new tables into the report (so with no transformations). Has anyone been having the same issue?

No issues on my side, just tested Direct Query and Query folding, working as expected.  I am running Windows 11 Pro Insider build though on Snapdragon processor.

No issues for me either. Everything is folding as expected.

Hi, I think it was an issue with the connector I was using (Snowflake connector to Power BI Desktop). But it seems to be solved now. Thank you for your help help 🙂
