Custom Label doesn`t work

Hello,

 

even when I click Custom Label "On", the Field box stays grey/inactive.

Same for me:
(Clustered) Bar chart

I'm having theis problem too in desktop
Version: 2.122.746.0 64-bit (October 2023)
on all four of the following:

  • stacked column chart 
  • clustered column chart
  • stacked bar chart 
  • clustered bar chart

Any news on this one?

Hi! Same issue with october version of Power BI desktop. I'm not able to add a custom label to a clustered column chart. And it doesn't work if I make changes in the measures that already used as custom labels.

Same issues as already explained in detail above. 


Plus: I can add custom fields when in the browser, but they are no longer there when I download and open the report on Desktop.

Same for me  - please fix this


If I go to a report I authored a while ago I am not able to remove the Custom Label or change which measure I bring in  - only disable it

It's all greyed out

Hi  All,

If you roll back to the September version, it is possible to display the custom lab properly, right ? When you turn on the Custom label in Data label , you can add field in it , right ?That's the only visual (stacked column chart , clustered column chart, stacked bar chart , clustered bar chart) that's having problems so far, right?

I don't think I can tell my clients to roll back to the September version.  Or, are you saying that I can roll back to the Sept version to get it to work and then it will work properly on my clients' latest version?  Is there an estimate on when this will be fixed?

As a workaround for published dashboards that need edits to custom labels, I've been editing in web as it seems to work there (for both new custom labels and existing). Rather frustrating that it doesn't work in Oct23 version of PBI Desktop though.
