Cannot update or export pbix

Since 2 days ago we cannot update data in our workspace with the follow error:

If we try to republish dataset from desktop we get the following error:

We tested in both Desktop versions Julio 2021 and November 2021

 

We have been al day testing with the same error so in not temporal. 

We tried to publish exactly the same pbix with other name and it works and updates ok. We havent taken this to production since it would mean to change dataset id and that will lead to "re-link" all other dashboards and reports which are about 40+ including user's personal reports.

 

In the many tests we have done, we wouldnt also export pbix this is the error:

Can't export to Power BI Desktop format We couldn't export to .pbix format.

Hi,

As far as I’m concerned, there is some limitation for downloading the pbix file, you should first check:

  1. The report must have been created using Power BI Desktop and since been published to the Power BI Service.
  2. You won’t be able to download the report if it was originally created in the Power BI Service.
  3. You cannot download Dataset with incremental refresh as a .pbix file.

It has been created and published through Desktop and its not incremental. The real problem is the update not the download feature 🙂

 

It seems its corrupted because we can publish and update if we change name or publish in another workspace

According to your problem, is it possible to create a new workspace to republish the reports to the new workspace to replace the reports with problems?

If you think it’s not achievable, I suggest you to open a support ticket to get direct help from the technical support team of Microsoft.

We have already solved after opening a ticket to microsoft. We deleted some of the old reports and it worked.
