Cannot select / click on (new) slicer on Power BI online

The (new) slicer is not responding i.e. clicking to select a different filter does not do anything.

Left slicer is the old style which works fine and can be clicked on.

Right slicer is the new style which cannot be clicked on.

It works fine on the Desktop version.

 

This happened last week, too, then it was fixed (by itself?) a day later.

Tried to republish the report, reset slices etc. Still not working.

Update: I tried many different settings without success until I deactivated the Accent bar

This seemed to be the issue. Now I can interact with the slicers as normal.

Can the Accent bar issue be investigated further please?

I don't really get this.

Is it by design that when the accent bar is enabled the new slicer becomes unclickable? Where is this documented?

@yannisT  I'm with you on this.  This can't be by design.  Definitely something broken here.

@yannisT Cant agree more with you. I would term this as half-cooked product and terming that is "BY Design" is surprising.

Hello,

 

I got the same problem, it started for me yesterday, that it doesn't work anymore. In Power BI Desktop it keeps working, but when uploaded in the online services then it doesn't work anymore.

Hi all,

 

We have reported this issue and submitted it to the product team.
They have been aware of the issue and the engineers will do their best to resolve it. I will update here if there is any progress, so please be patient.

Hi community, same issue here when publishing to power bi service, the new feature is great, i hope you can resolve it shortly 🙂
