Can't open Power BI reports unless “Automatically Detect settings unticked with December Update

With the December update, I can’t get to open Power BI bank report or any unless I go and change the untick “Automatically Detect settings”. If I try to open a report with auto detect settings ticked , PC memory hits 100% and my PC crashes and restarts itself.

I never had issues until December update.

My company policy is such that it reverts back to default upon restarting the PC.

Any help with this is greatly appreciated.

hi  @v-chuncz-msft

I have re installed the latest version and encountered the same issue. Since, Nov version working fine on my PC means there must be some changes made with the new update causing power BI to freeze.
The only way to open Power BI is by unticking the Autodetect settings under “Automatic proxy setup “. It is working fine on my personal Laptop . But I can't do anyting on my Office PC.
This is really frustrating.

Thanks,
Deevs

Hi @v-chuncz-msft ,

Thanks for ignoring my last update on this issue.
Our IT department had to implement a fix on this but still curious as to what was changed in December Power BI update which caused this issue.

Thanks,

Deevs
