Can't Import Data - Error Message

I am trying to do a monthly dataset update where I import data from a local file to replace the previous month - I am receiving this message:

Any ideas?

Hi,

Accroding to your sample picture, it seems that you want to connect to the Excel file in the service to create a workbook? But you said that you want to import the data. I suggest you to go to the dataset setting to configure the data source file path to use the manual refresh or scheduled refresh to refresh you dataset instead of manually importing the data again.

Thank you very much!

Hi - thanks for your response; however, it does not help.

I have been doing manual updates for a year now and am happy working that way rather than the scheduled refresh. I need you to investigate why this issue has arisen now. Please advise what the cause of the issue is and therefore the solution.

Hi,

In my opinion, I still suggest you to use the scheduled refresh because it’s the professional way of refreshing data suggested by Power BI.

For your special kind of refresh method, I suggest you to open a support ticket to get the opinions on this issue from the technical support team of Microsoft.
