BUG: cannot import custom visuals

I tried to import some custom visuals from the Microsoft Visual Store but every time I tried to import one, I get the following error message:

It does not matter which custom visual I try to import and it also does not matter if I try to import it in an existing dashboard or in a completely new one. Is there an issue with the Store maybe?

According to my test, I can successfully import the custom visual to my Power BI desktop:

What’s the kind of custom visual you wanted to import?

I suggest you to update to the latest version of the Power BI desktop and check if this problem can disappear.

Was there anything that you had to do to correct the error?  I'm still seeing this error when trying to import visuals. I even stood up a fresh VM with Power BI Desktop (latest version) and I'm still seeing that error.

Including more detail from the error message.  I tried this with a fresh report, the sample data and attempting to import the Microsoft Histogram visual.  I have also attempted this with the Preview Infrastructure feature enabled with the same result.

Is this still being investigated?  We are on the latest version of Power BI, 2.102.683.0 64-bit (February 2022), and still encountering the issue.

I'm getting this now on every import from "get more visuals", upgraded to latest version this morning.

I have a ticket in with support.  They're working on it. 

As a work around, here's what I did... 

• Go to Get More Visuals
• Pick your visual
• Click Download Sample and open the file
• In the visuals section, right click the visual and pin it to your visuals 
• Close Power BI and reopen your report you want to use.

The visual will still be pinned and working. I still can't just click add Visual and have it work.  If I get anything from support, I'll let you know.

All seems to be working this morning without having actually done anything to fix the propblem. Is anyone else still seeing this issue?
