pin from excel

I am having problems with pin from Excel. I have an Excel report that is published to Power BI. When I select a range and select pin to dashboard I get the message to select a range:

Which is obviously wrong as something is selected.

Can you please advise?

Update: I think I have found what is causing it: on my Excel sheet I have "Freeze Panes" set up. When I select a range that crosses the Freeze Pane boundaries it seems Power BI can't detect that a range is selected anymore.

I can pin from excel even I have 'Freeze Panes' set up on my side. Please refer to my video below. Could you please let me know if there is any difference between our repro steps?

@v-haibl-msft you were using Excel. As per my picture, I was trying this from an Excel Online workbook published to the Power BI service.

I can repro the same issue as you. I’ve reported it internally to Power BI Team: CRI 42605188
I’ll post here once I get any update about it.

I've got response from the Product Team.

We are not supporting selection that crosses the freeze horizontal line or a selection that crosses freeze vertical line.
