not opening the right version of power bi desktop, file does not exist

Hi, I haven't been able to open the file after it was saved/uploaded on my sharepoint. I have the version listed in details below. I have this version and Power BI september 2023. I'm only able to open this file on the 2023 version. Whenever I try to open it from the version below, I get a file does not exist response. Whenever I try to open it from share point, it only opens the 2023 version. Power BI Issues2.pngPower BI Issues.png

Hi twentyaj20,

In my machine I also have 2 version of Power BI. The latest and the older one which is the same version to our Power BI Report Server (on-premise).

What you can do is make sure you have installed the same version of PowerBI like what your PowerBI file uses (.pbix). Then you can try right clicking on it then choose "Open With" and choose the one with the same version.

Sometimes also on my end if I open the project using the latest version, it will diffenitely be ugraded then I can no  longer open it using the old Power BI application.

This works for me, just try it also in your end.
