map visualization

Hello,

When I am in the published report location online I am not able to view on the map the location that I am drilling down to. I can dynamically drill down with the desktop version but not with the published report version online. Any suggestions would be appreaciated.

Thank you,

Josh

If you are not using June 2017 version of Power BI Desktop, please download and upgrade your Power BI Desktop.

You also need to set the Data Category for each column correctly (e.g. Country, State and City...). Then use a hierarchy, for example, create a column called "Country", set data category to Country / Region, and add it above the State and City in the hierarchy.

If you are using comma separated strings (e.g. "City, Country") to define the location, please change Data Category of this column to Place.

At last, republish the report to Power BI Service to check the result.

If issue persists, could you please share your PBIX file through online file service like OneDrive?

Best Regards,
Herbert
