I didn't notice the "don't post new issues here" on the old page until I was done posting my two issues, sorry for the duplication: Salesforce reports time in UTC format with the correct time zone, but PowerBI seems to be misinterpreting the UTC time as the already offset time (it's not applying the UTC offset). For example, 16:00:00 UTC -5 is seen inside of power BI. In Salesforce this same record shows 11:00AM EST. PowerBI should either be showing 16:00:00 UTC 0, or 11:00:00 UTC -5. When you try to offset the time with the date/time/timezone functions, you get something like 11:00:00 UTC-10 which then gets adjusted to your local time zone automatically and you're again presented with 16:00:00!!!

Hello, I am attempting to use Power Query on data models I have created in Power BI. When I attempt to login to Power BI through the Power Query add - in, I am taken to a login page. I login using my work creditintials but the login screen says it is logging me out and I receive this error: I am have Power BI Pro and Office 365. Currently I am using Excel 2010 version 14.0.7173.5000 (32-bit). Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks, Ryan

We are facing issues with multiple database hits, instead of one. We have created a base table that pulls data from a data source. There are multiple tables created which pull filtered data from the base table. Ideally, the base table should fetch data from the data source once, and all other tables should get it from the base table. Whats happens is, each time a table pulls data from the base table, the base tables hits the data source and gets the data from there. This adds to an overhead of base table fetching data from the data source multiple times when we refresh the data.

We faced an issue with "-" in query parameter. It works fine until you publish the reports. e.g. [Query=[page-id=Text.From(pageid)]] throws an error.

Using the new Combining Binaries functionality is not quite working as expected In this scenario I'm consolidating CSVs from a folder While the the Change Type elements are there in the process the final results do not have change type applied E.g. In the Transofrm sample step (view) and Transform Function the type is changed correctly for date and values etc However in the final output it reverts back to MIXED Types

When I pass a dataframe to R from Power Query I run into a problem with dates. For instance if I pass a dataframe that represents a Date table to R using the following script: new_dataset <- dataset The date field is returned as follows: My goal was to pass a Date table to R and add some attributes to the Date table using R. But when I pass a Date table to R the dates are replaced with "Microsoft.OleDB.Date". Any idea what's causing this problem? What are the known issues with the R integration in Power Query?

Hi team, I have tried this feature with Chrome and it's working. But with Safari, there is no downloaded file. please kindly check again with Safari browser. Safari version: Version 10.0.1 (12602.2.14.0.7)

It seems that the latest version of PBI Desktop (2.40.4554.463 64-bit) saves also all data to the .pbit file. Both files (.pbix & .pbit) are same size and when double clicking the .pbit and choosing Edit when the parameter is asked, you are able to open the file with all data. We tested this behaviour with to data sources; with filename-parameter (Access as a data source) and with email-parameter (Microsoft Exchange as a data source). Steps: 1. Create query from Microsoft Exchange. 2. Load mail. 3. Add parameter "Email" and use it as a argument: =Exchange.Contents(Email) 4. Save As Power BI File (.pbix). 5. Save As Power BI Template File (.pbit). 6. Files are same size. 7. Double Click Template file open and choose Load>Edit. 8. Close Query Editor and choose Not Now. 9. Study the data.

I am using the PowerBI #2.40.4554.463 64-bit (October 2016). Noticed that two different tables (which has no relation )can not have the same name for the custom created(Renamed) column. This should not be the case when tables has no relation?

Hello, I am creating analysis service tabular project type. and fetching the reords from sql server. - I am cerating the two view in the sql. -Views created in the sql server. 1.PreviousYear view. This view will bring the records from last year to previous 4 year records. 2.CurrentYear View. This view will bring the records from current date to last 1 year records. - Hence i am creating a partiation for the above two view which will render records in the model, - While i am executing both partiation individual it is returing the correct number of records. - but when i am executing both pariation to render the records in the model i am receiving the more records after merging. -> Is this the issue of merging the partiation.
