(posting as issue as suggested by desktop forum)   Hello,   I have a dataset that imports from multiple excel files within a SharePoint Folder (~10 tables from ~20 files).  I am using the transform file method as columns can vary.  It has worked fine for many months.  Within the last month or so, I started to get periodic and now persistent "SharePoint: Request Failed" local desktop refresh errors.   The specific error is "OLE DB or ODBC error: [DataSource.Error] SharePoint: Request failed: https://xxxxxxx.sharepoint.com/sites/.../xFileName_xlsm/_api/contextinfo".   I can see almost everything loads (appears each file has been accessed at some point okay) and then the error is thrown.  I have tried several times to clear/reset SharePoint credentials, clear cache, etc..  It does not necessarily repeat with the same file or even query in the error message.  I had this with July version as well as September and now the latest October releases.   Thankfully the published dataset refreshes daily as expected.  If I download the same published PBIX file, it usually refreshes locally okay on desktop the first time.  However, I then get persistent errors regardless if I make any changes.  I am stuck if I need to make any changes at the moment.   Note the error metions API, and I have been using API Version 15 without issues in the past.  However, I get the same errors using either 14 or auto.  Again, the published dataset refreshes daily with no issues using API Version 15.   Some other posts mention clearing credentials, etc., however this has not helped.  Again, the first refresh after downloading the PBIX works once after downloading, so it doesn't seem some credential related.   Has anyone experienced this?  Any ideas?  I appreciate any help. ... Hi!  I am beta-testing the Get data - POWER BI API (Beta) for the Event Activity Log.    This works fine in Power BI Desktop.  But when I want to publish and set the scheduled refresh, I get an error.    Error: Unable to determine the data source due to unknown functions. When custom connectors are used, the error can happen if gateway doesn't have the extension enabled. Details: Static analysis failed in gateway. gatewayObjectId:75c48ee4-247e-41a0-bc5e-6e82a3497b2c, resultCode:FailedWithUnknownFunctions Query contains unknown function name: PowerBIRESTAPI.Navigation Unknown function name: PowerBIRESTAPI.Navigation is a valid Mashup library function name format. We are using Power BI embedded for Data Visualization from Azure Databricks Delta Lake Tables via Direct Query Mode   As per documentation while connecting to a SQL Warehouse from Power BI using Azure Databricks Connector we supply 2 part connection string Server hostname HTTP path   Earlier SQL Warehouses were referred as SQL Endpoints and HTTP Path was {/sql/1.0/endpoints/[clustered]} , since the introduction of SQL Warehouses HTTP Path is changed to {/sql/1.0/warehouses/[clusterId]}   After Embedding Power BI Reports with new SQL Warehouse connection {/sql/1.0/warehouses/[clusterId]} , Power BI Embedded Reports are unable to connect to Databricks , if we change this connection to {/sql/1.0/endpoints/[clusterId]  for same SQL warehouse, Power BI Reports are able to connect to Databricks   Reports are Embedded Programatically using Power BI REST API and SDK  In one of the Steps of Report Embedding - Datasource Credentials are required to be refreshed for Report to work in Embedded Service , this is done via REST API - https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/rest/api/power-bi/gateways/update-datasource#oauth-2.0-credentials...   Please can anyone share if they had similar issues and possible solutions or best practices    Thanks ... I have a chart with a report page tooltip. The tooltip size is customized and it works propertly on Desktop and Report Server but it doesn't on Power Bi embeded, in the portal that my company holds for our reports. I've noticed that the right-click drill-through is no longer working in published reports.     The menu doesn't appear on right-click.      It was working fine last week I believe   It works as expected in Desktop and also PBIS     Many of our users rely on the drill-though functionality to view line level detail   Hopefully it can be corrected soon   Thanks Ryan       ... Hi - we're seeing duplicate menu items appearing in the app under the report. Does anyone know how to solve this? We've tried re-uploading versions, but it doesn't seem to solve the issue. We're experiencing issues with exporting Power BI data from Teams. The error message is:   "File couldn't be created. Executing the Query for the Export Data operation resulted in an error."   It's affecting some reports and not others, and I can't find a correlation with the affected/unaffected reports. It's affecting some reports in a specific workspace/Team and not others and the issue is occuring across multiple workspaces/Teams. The same issue happens on both desktop and web app, and the report settings for the affected reports are the same as the unaffected reports. Both normal tables and matrix tables are affected.    I realise this is likely a Teams issue as the data can be exported from the PBI Service okay, but I wanted to post here to see if others are experiencing the same issue as the Teams "idea" board doesn't seem to be as active. It's very annoying as we have minimal Pro licenses in our organisation - almost everyone accesses their data through embedded reports in Teams.   Is anyone else having this issue or is it an "us" problem? ... Hi all, am having some issues with the Adobe Analytics 2.0 Connector in Power BI. Basically if I try to select "Year" in date granularity it always gives me the error below, effective saying it's not recognized as a valid datetime. Hello,   I'm using the Power BI rest API to refresh some dataflows, according to the documentation here: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/rest/api/power-bi/dataflows/refreshdataflow   I populate the groupId, the DataflowID as parameters, and set the body as: { "notifyOption": "MailOnCompletion" }   The objective being to get a notifcation (email) once the refresh is done, wether it's a success or a failure.   When I do this, the refresh is triggered as expected, but I never receive the email once it's done. I've tried on Dataflows that voluntary have a fail refresh, or working; with "MailOnCompletion" or "MailOnFailure", but it never worked.   I tried on Postman as well, and directly and finally on the "Try it" feature from the documentation, as shown on the screenshot:   Any idea? ... Hi all   I'm trying to set a report filter on load but maintain my dataColors array position. Multiple people in my organization are unable to view published apps in our Power BI tenant.  They can sometimes click Apps and then wait for it to load forever.  You see a brief message "Data Loading" followed by "Almost Done."  And it will spin for hours.  My entire company has a Pro license.  The data loads fine in my Power BI desktop.  Issue happens on both IE 11 and Chrome 69.   Good thing I'm not currently doing my presentation on why you should use Azure!   I've seen this happen often and on.  You never know when it is going to happen.  My Azure admin says when he logs in to Azure portal it tells him no known outages.     ... In Power BI Desktop App, when trying to authenticate to Salesforce to retrieve Objects or Reports our end users receive this error:   "We don't support this browser. Try opening this page in a supported browser"   It appears this has to do with the fact that the IE11 browser is no longer supported by Salesforce. What can we to successfully authenticate?
