date issue on visual

Hi in my data model there's table whose format has been set to MMM YYY but on are chart when I plot it on bar chart visual turning on categorical value it show as long date to me. why is this happening?

How did you set date format to MMM YYY ? I created a sample with date column and then set date format to mmmm yyy , then add the date in stacked bar chart , the date format is the same as I set .

If my operation is not consistent with yours, please provide more detailed information or operation steps for reference.
