connected directly production server (SQL) any performance issue

Dear Team

if we connected directly production server (SQL) to Power BI any performance issue to users or impact to the connected application users 

is it advisable to connect directly to saql server ?

Hi @lenijegan18004 

Connect directly to sql server does have performance issues, but it has the advantage that you have access to the latest data at all times. If you have high performance requirements then you can use Import connection mode to access SQL.
