Xero Datasets erroring on refresh

Hi there,

 

I'm getting an error while refreshing my Xero Datasets.

This is the error:

Last refresh failed: Fri Dec 21 2018 08:56:35 GMT+0000 (Greenwich Mean Time) 
It looks like the refresh token expired. Please go to this dataset's settings page, and reenter the OAuth2 credentials for the Extension data source.

All the fixes I've seen suggested, are telling me to check the credentials. However the "Data source credentials" dropdown is greyed out for my Xero providers, so I can use that section.

 

Has anyone got any suggestions for sorting this?

@notjustpcs,

I am getting this error as well. However, I am able to re-enter credential under Settings. How about you re-connect to xero content pack in Power BI Service?

Thanks for getting back to me, as you can see from the two images I've attached, I can't edit my Xero Data source credentials, and having tried to add a new connection from scratch, I can't do that either.

@notjustpcs,

What option do you use to connect to Xero in Power BI Service, from "Apps" or "Get Data->Service content pack"? Could you please use fiddler to track the connection process and share fiddler trace log here?

Yesterday I used the "Get Data > Service content pack" method, but I've just tried "Apps" and that didn't work either.

 

I've never used Fiddler before, but I installed it and saved this file. Hope that helps.

There is no error in the attached fiddler trace. You can capture the connection trace following the guide in this similar video.

Hi Lydia,

 

Well it seems that having been closed for a few days, the Xero datasets are now behaving properly.

It allowed me to change credentials yesterday, but it still wouldn't refresh. Today, everything seems to be working perfectly again.
