Updating data connection for a goal removes all the history for that goal

Is this by design that all the historical data for a particular goal is deleted when you update a data connection for that goal?

Example: I've created a different version of my report and wanted to re-link the goal to the newer version of the report. I did that and as a result I've lost the history of the goal measurements.

It seems to overwrite existing time series data. You may share feedback via Ideas to help improve Power BI.

@v-chuncz-msft thanks for your reply. How can I know if it's a feature request (to keep history), hence, suitable for an idea, or simply a bug?

This has been fixed with one of the latest updates of Goals.
