Unable to open Power Bi desktop Reports

Hello,

After completing a mandatory Microsoft update at work, I am unable to open my Power Bi desktop reports. I do not if it is related but after I did this update I faced this problem. Each time I try to open a report in my dekstop version I ge tthe following message:

I have tried to download the new version but I it did not work. I uninstalled and reinstalled Power Bi dekstop and still it did not work.

Hi @Anonymous, 

Did you remember which kind of Power BI desktop is used for creating this pbix file, normal Power BI desktop or Power BI desktop optimized for report server? 

Assume the report is created in Power BI desktop optimized for report server, we need to open it in the same Power BI desktop optimized for report server version or newer version.

Hi Yu,

Thank you for your answer. I created the files with normal Power Bi desktop but to solve the issue I had to create a Microsoft Account and redownload Power Bi from Microsoft Store. After that, I was able to open my saved reports.
