Unable to hide Visual Level Filters from "New Filter Experience"

Visual Level Filters are always displayed on the new filter experience tab after publishing to web, even though the filters are set to hidden in Power BI Desktop.

Update (2019-04-10):

This bug still persists with the April Power BI Destktop Update.

Update (2019-05-16):

It is possible to hide visual level filters now, but visual level filters are displayed by default which can get really tedious when having to hide them every time we add a new column to a table (f.e.). Would it be possible to have them be hidden by default like it was up to this point?

Hi @Anonymous ,

Before the fix being released, as a workaround, you can check "require single selection" on the cards you are trying to hide before saving.

Best regards,

@v-yulgu-msft Is there a workaround for values? Because that's only an option for items where there is single select? If not, how soon is the fix going to be released?

Just noticed this whilst implementing the filters pane on an old report. Any update on a fix? It would be an excellent addition but I cant implement it whilst it exposes hidden filters to the end user

As a work around I tried to lock the visual level filters.  When I published it to the service, they unlocked.  So the issue isn't just hidding the visual level filters, it seems to be anything with the them.

@v-yulgu-msft Any updates to this and where its at?

Single Selection Required is not an option. Every measure which is used, is now available as a filter. It is not possible to check the Single Selection Required checkbox with measures.

There is no work-around for this. I am going to raise a support ticket this morning to try and get this looked at by the product team.

After a support call from Microsoft they say

"As we discussed,  currently it is a known issue in power bi. Our PG team is actively working on this issue. By end of this week or next week they will rolled out the fix into production servers.

Hi all,

This issue should have been fixed in the latest release: 2.68.5432.841 64-bit (April 2019). Please update the desktop for a try.

Best regards,

Yuliana Gu

I downloaded the update and tested it.  The issue has been fixed.  You no longer see the hidden visual filters.
