There is no Bulk 'Remove Access' option? I have remove them individually?

I have report that I need to unshare and its got more than 60 users, I see there is no way I can select multiple users and bulk remove access!!
I seriously cant beleive you(MS) didnt think that millions of Enterprise users around the world would ever need this option?

Are we supposed to click on every user and Remove access? What is the alternative? API?

Please dont tellme to delete the report.. I need to keep the report for future.

I remember we could do this in the older Manage users screen. The new of "Manage Permission", ironically does not allow you to "Manage" anything other than add users!

Now let me get back to removing each user one by one!

Hi @Anonymous ,

You could manage Power BI workspaces with PowerShell. Firstly, you need install the required cmdlets in proper version of PowerShell. For more details, you could refer to Power BI Cmdlets reference | Microsoft Docs and Remove-PowerBIWorkspaceUser (MicrosoftPowerBIMgmt.Workspaces) | Microsoft Docs.

So this is the recommended option for removing users in bulk???

Can you tell how do we extract list of all user email IDs? Becuase again, there is no option to do that, we need to copy them individally. Copying HTML (pasting in Excel/Notepad) only gives you the first 30 entries!

And what about Business users .. who never worked with command line or PowerShell?

PS: Thanks for the article, too much work for a simple task, dont you think? 🙂

Currently, Power BI doesn’t provide a feature to directly bulk remove or add users to workspace access. You could complete it with PowerShell as mentioned. Or you could consider adding users a group like security group, then you could add/remove them to the workspace access at one time.

For the needs of directly bulk add/remove users in Power BI, I would suggest you submitting your idea in Power BI Ideas. It’s a place where the product group collects suggestions from users to improve this product. Thanks in advance! Ideas (powerbi.com)

Bulk removal access is much required option especially for Business users. Strongly recommend to have this option implemented at the earliest.

An easier way to remove bulk users should be standard functionality.
