Sync filter changes to other slicers checkbox is not working when unchecked

I need to synchronize two slicers but not synchronic the filters on the slicers. The checkbox you provide for this is not working. No matter what I select it is always synchronizing the complete slicers with filters and everything.

Slicers Group with unchecked checkboxes:

In my case, I have a slicer with one calendar using the Before filter, so I get all dates before the selected date. The other slicer has the After filter, so I get all dates after the selected date. But every time I pick a new date both slicers get the filters synchronized to Before the selected date and that is not what I need. Could you please help me with this? I believe is a malfunction in the checkboxes. Any combination gives me the same result.

This behavior is currently by design. You may try different type of filter and share feedback via Ideas to help improve Power BI.
