Show filters buttons not showing properly once a filter has been applied

Hello, I have a problem which we've just noticed today.   I have a report with a filter pane that is hidden and unhidden as required.  It is quite a hefty report so I have the option switched on to only apply selected filters when the Apply button has been pressed.  Today we noticed that once a filter has been applied and the filter pane is hidden and then opened again, that the Apply button is not showing properly.

When I create / edit the report using Power BI Desktop, it works as expected.  This problem only appears when viewing the published report in the workspace on app.powerbi.com.
Is this a new bug and when is it likely to be fixed?  I need to know whether I need to redesign the whole filter pane aspect of the report.  Many thanks,

Status: Investigating

Hi  @sg1234 ,

Thanks for your feedback on this issue, I did a simple test as described but didn't have this luck reproducing your problem .
Would you mind providing a detailed step by step reproduction?

We'll get back to the product team as soon as it's acknowledged as an issue!
Thanks in advance!

Best regards.

Hello,

Thanks so much for your reply.

I have recreated the issue in a test file and when published the same problem is happening.  A copy of the test file is in https://drive.google.com/file/d/1kL0QuJMqsnMIqCxqKoe0abePz9l-mzWu/view?usp=sharing (and hopefully you can see and open it if I've done it right!).  When the file is open using Power BI Desktop, I can select a filter, close the filter pane and then reopen the filter pane and it looks as expected.   If I repeat that with the published report, when I reopen the filter pane, the Appy button doesn't show properly.  Hopefully that makes sense.  I will post screenshots of the report below.

1. The filter Appy button shows properly when a filter has been applied and the pane reopened in Power BI Desktop

2. In the published version, the Apply buttons do not show properly when a filter has been applied, the pane closed and then reopened again (see below - the Apply buttons are on the left hand side with only a small amount visable).

Hi @v-xiaoyan-msft ,

Were you able to open the Power BI file from my Google Drive?  Did it give you the detail you need?  Please can you let me know if you need anything else?

Mnay thanks for your help.

Hello,

I have now updated Power BI to the latest version and republished the report and the issue is still happening.  Please could you let me know who I should raise this to as I first reported it here a month ago.

Many thanks,

Sarah

Additionally, if I open a report that has a filter applied to it from the previous time I opened it, then when I open the filter pane, it is displayed properly despite already having a filter applied to it.  If I close the filter pane and then reopen it, the Apply buttons are not displayed properly.

I would be really grateful if someone could help me with this or point me in the right direction so I know who to raise it with.

Many thanks,

Sarah

A second discovery is that it actually doesn't show the Apply button if you open and close the filter pane.  Even if you don't select a filter.
