Semantic Model Filtering in PBI Table (not Pivot Table) in Excel

Hello,

I need to edit a TABLE in Excel-based models that is connected to a fabric semantic model regularly.  The user experience upon initial connection is great, but it does not exist for EDITING the connection - that can only be done by updating the DAX query. This is not user friendly, especially for those that are primarily working in Excel-based models, not at all familiar with DAX.

Is there anything in the roadmap for the initial user experience (GET DATA --> FROM POWER BI  ---> FROM POWER BI DATASET --> INSERT TABLE) to be accessed again for subsequent updates to the table?

Need the ability to easily add/remove/refresh fields, filters, etc.

Hi  @alcas ,

From the information I found, there doesn't seem to be a specific roadmap item that directly addresses the ability to access the initial user experience for subsequent updates to the table. If you would like a more user-friendly way to edit tables in Excel-based models that are connected to a fabric semantic model, without having to update the DAX query manually. You may raise an idea here to improve this feature. It is the right place for customers provide feedback about Microsoft Office products . What’s more, if a feedback is high voted there by other customers, it will be promising that Microsoft Product Team will take it into consideration when designing the next version in the future.
