Hi @afelber,

The search function works on Text type fields only for now. If you change the data type of the field to TEXT, the function will be back. Please vote up this idea.

Thanks very much for your feedback, I was getting crazy. Is there any official page where states what you described? or any approved issue for the same case?

It might not have relation, but I noticed there is already an approved issue regarding the search option and PBI Service. 

Lastly, were any of you able to use numeric range slicer as described in this Microsoft page? Use the numeric range slicer in Power BI Desktop

I already voted the idea you suggested.
