SVG fill for a button causes crash of PBI Desktop

What used to be a flawless process of adding an SVG image to a button now causes PBD show uncalncellable error message:

The very same SVG file works perfectly fine as a backdrop for the page, but when added to a button (show above) it causes this error message that cannot be calcelled other than killing the entire Powe BI process via Task Manager.

The issue manifests only with the new buttons, the buttons with SVGs added about a month ago work fine.

Please help!

To whom may run into the issue - this is caused by the wretched "New Format Pane". I have it disabled, because I hate it - it requires quadruple number of clicks to get to the property I'm looking for. Nevertheless, enabling it will cause the error message go away.

I'll see if I can disable it after I import the images, becase the "New Format Pane" is pane-full.
