Report Schedule Refresh Issues

We have been having on and off refresh issues for months

 

The issue seems to be caused by time out error while using the PBI gateway and I note several instances of similar issues being reported here but with no solution being offered.  Our Appliction Management team say that the Gateway is up and re-starting the gateway does not fix the problem.  

 

The issue can often resolve itself, but we have to wait hours, or sometimes even days.  This is having an organisational impact as key business reports are not being made available on time. 

 

Here is the error code from one of our failed reports this morning:

Hi @SCottrell ,

The error message haven't provide more specific reason, as you said, it seems a time out error. There could be a number of reasons why this error is occurring. One possibility is that the data source is too large or complex for the system to process within the allotted time. Another possibility is that there is a problem with the network connection or server that is preventing the data from being retrieved in a timely manner.

If all these aspects don't help, to get the root cause, I suggest you create a support ticket, a dedicated engineer will come to help you dig the problem.
