Problem regarding Analyze in Excel. Join not working

I have a cube and the I have a simple single direction join from one table to another.  When I do a 'Create Report' from this cube, the join works.  However, using the same cube, when I do a 'Analyze in Excel' the join doesn't work.  I am using the same tables in both scenarios.  The datatypes on the joins are varchar(10) on both.  I have uppercased then and removed all spaces.  I even did a 'clean' of the join fields.   However, it works when I 'Create a Report' but doesn't when I 'Analyze in Excel'.  It is a very strange anomaly.  Has anyone else encountered this?  Thank

Could you please consider providing more details about it? Did it have no response for the report or have any error message about it when using Analyze in Excel feature. If there is any error message about it, it would help better.
