Powerbi Embed dataSelected Event not getting captured by report.on('dataSelected')

I have 2 bar chart visuals and they have a similar config, uses the same table but different columns. When I perform data selection on one visual I am able to capture that event using JS SDK but in case of the another I get the following error

I am unable to figure out the RCA behind this. Can someone please help here ?

if there is an empty Top N or an empty Include Exclude Filter in this visual? and if you change the fields for this visual see if it works well?
