PowerBI Desktop Crashes when I create a new relationship

Hi all,

I downloaded the December update today (some great ideas in here) and was looking forward to utilising the new features.

However, post-update whenever I tried to create a relationship my PBI desktop threw up a Command prompt and then crashed.

Any ideas why this may be or how to resolve?

Hi @Nayim,

I can reproduce it. The workaround could be establishing relationship with Manage Relationships in the ribbon. I will update the news later.

I have the same problem, crashing when I try to create a relationship. Any idea when this could be fixed? Anything I can do to workaround?

This issue will be fixed in the January release 2018. The workaround could be establishing relationship with Manage Relationships in the ribbon.

Have exactly the same issue, lets hope they release a fix asap. 

Problem is the workaround makes PowerBI crash as well 😞
