Hi @Anonymous,

May I know what’s the data source of the data on this visual? Is it a SQL database on local machine? Did you configure gateway for this data source?

If your report data is fetching from a data source that Power BI service couldn’t access directly, then the on-premises data gateway is required to help build the connection.

For what is on-premises data gateway, you may refer to On-premises data gateway - Power BI | Microsoft Docs.

After you install your gateway and sign in with your Power BI service account, then you can register your data source to the gateway in Manage Gateways page in Power BI service. Then, you need map the data source used in your dataset to the registered data source. After that, re-access your report.

@v-cazheng-msft  thank you, it is connecting to Google Big Query Cloud database.

I have mixed mode. The datasets that are import mode are loading correctly, but only the ones on direct query are showing the above message.

The dataset I am querying is a Table of size 319.4 MB with 2,901,648 rows.

Were you ever able to resolve this issue?  I'm experiencing the same thing and this was my first report that i'm using DirectQuery and i'm stumped!
