Power BI issues (Dashboard refresh, schedule dashboard refresh)

HI all,

 

We are facing the following issues in the power bi  

 

  • Power BI Scheduled Refresh is not working as expected. There is a delay in refreshing data and sometimes dashboards not refreshing for certain users.

 

  • Even if datasets are refreshing, Dashboards tiles and reports are not refreshing automatically. We are using the enterprise data gateway connected to an SSAS ROLAP model.  When we manually click the "Refresh" button on the reports, the visuals update

 

  • Users are unable to navigate from Dashboards to reports and warning is being displayed. This is happening intermittently and is not coming on daily basis

 

  • How does an end user know the data refresh happens in underlying dataset?

 

  • For the same dashboard, certain users getting data and certain users getting an error. “We can't load the content of this tile. Please delete it and try repining

For the first issue, according to this document, when you configure a time for scheduled refresh, there can be a delay of up to one hour before it begins. If data is not refreshed for some users, I suggest you to create a support ticket at http://support.powerbi.com (see bottom of page).

 

For the second one, the dashboard tiles should can be refreshed automatically based on your configuration as following screenshot.

The report page will not refresh automatically, unless we make interaction with the visuals in the report page or refresh the report directly.

BTW, pinning an entire report using the pin live page option will not result in the data automatically being updated

For the third issue, I suggest you to create a support ticket at http://support.powerbi.com (see bottom of page).

 

For the forth question, you can enable following option for the tile, so that end users can see the last refresh time.

Has the dashboard tile refresh problem ever been sovled?  I see a lot of dialogue on the forums but very little to no talk of resolution.  I am experiencing the same issue and it is quite painful and frustrating.

 

Please advise,
