Power BI Custom visuals are not visible in Apps

Hi there,

It seems we were able to reproduce this https://community.powerbi.com/t5/Issues/Custom-Visual-not-visible-in-Power-BI-Apps/idi-p/341683 and it looks like a bug. It affects not only custom visuals, but Image and background as well.

This is how test report with Image visual and Tachometer custom visual should look like. Original report works in Workspace and Apps.

 

To reproduce:

1. Duplicate this report with Save as…
2. Edit newly created report and save changes
3. Update Apps
4. Clean browser cache and Go to Apps
5. Image and custom visual are not visible

 

1. Open report in Workspace and then go to Apps
2. Custom visual is cached and visible, Image is not visible

 

1. Save As this report again with a new name
2. Update App, clear browser cache and open Apps
3. Image and custom visuals are visible now

 

Now. Let’s say I have 3 reports in Apps: Rep1 – original (visuals are visible), Rep2 – edited duplicate (visuals are not visible), Rep3 – duplicate of Rep2 (visuals visible). If I delete Rep2 and Update App it will broke Rep3 and I don’t see visuals again in Apps

I reproduce the issue one time, but can't reproduce it any more. Please test again on your side.

If issue persists, please record a video to show the issue with detail steps, and share the pbix file with us.
